Job Summary

Sentara Medical Group is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider with Acute-Care training to join its Hospital Medicine Program on the campus of Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, Virginia. This is a night position assisting the swing and night doctor. We seek an Advanced Practice Provider with Acute-Care training to help us accomplish Sentara’s mission in improving health every day, through innovation, technology, and by recruiting and hiring the very best, patient-focused providers to work with our team.

Position highlights:
●Join established group of 18 doctors and 2 APPs
●Night position supporting swing and night doctor, MRTs and admissions with some cross coverage calls after 2am
●Alternating schedule with other APPs
●Onboarding with direct training from doctor and APPs with goal to proficiently admit and handle complex issues
●Case mix of medical and some surgical/OB
●Open ICU with inhouse overnight critical care coverage

Sentara Leigh Hospital is a Magnet Status, 250-bed facility featuring all patient-friendly private rooms and specializing in orthopedic, gynecological and urological services. Sentara Leigh offers a contemporary care environment for general medical/surgical and ambulatory services and is home to the orthopedic hospital, which has 48 beds dedicated to specialized orthopedic care. The hospital offers a full-service Emergency Room with a dedicated observation unit, Critical Care, GI, and Oncology services. It also encompasses a Family Maternity Center.

Qualifications:

MLD - Master's Level Degree: Nurse Practitioner (Required), MLD - Master's Level Degree: Nurse Practitioner (Required)
