Senior Project Engineer Offshore Cables

This opportunity offers the chance to make a direct impact on the energy transition and the future of renewable power.</p> <p>We are looking for a <strong>Senior Project Engineer Offshore Cables</strong> to play a key role in the engineering and execution of offshore HVAC cable systems within a large-scale energy infrastructure programme.</p> <p><strong>Your impact</strong></p> <p>As part of the Cable Team, you will contribute to the preparation and execution of offshore cable installations within a complex EPCI environment. This role combines technical expertise, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement in a highly collaborative setting.</p> <p>You will work in a multidisciplinary project environment and actively support the successful delivery of critical offshore infrastructure.</p> <p><strong>What will you do?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support the engineering and implementation of offshore HVAC cable systems</li> <li>Prepare installation activities in close collaboration with contractors and technical experts</li> <li>Follow up on specific scopes of work and review technical documentation, including comment sheets</li> <li>Monitor progress, quality, and technical compliance within your area of responsibility</li> <li>Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external project partners</li> <li>Support the follow-up of offshore execution activities together with offshore representatives</li> <li>Identify opportunities to optimise delivery and create added value for the project</li> </ul> <p><strong>Your expertise</strong></p> <p>You bring strong technical experience within offshore cable projects and are comfortable working in demanding offshore construction environments.</p> <p>You have hands-on experience with:</p> <ul> <li>Offshore cable lay and burial operations</li> <li>Landfall and beach cable pull-ins</li> <li>Cable pull-ins on offshore structures</li> <li>Preparatory works such as PLGR, boulder clearance, and OOS removal</li> <li>Pre-sweeping and dredging activities</li> <li>Offshore construction works, vessel operations, and ROV operations</li> <li>Cable installation analysis, pull-in analysis, and weather limitations</li> </ul> <p>In addition, you have:</p> <ul> <li>At least <strong>8 years of relevant experience</strong> in the offshore cable industry</li> <li>A <strong>Master’s degree in Engineering</strong></li> <li>Strong understanding of <strong>survey techniques, GIS software, and route engineering</strong></li> <li>The ability to independently review and challenge technical documentation</li> <li>A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset</li> <li>Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international project environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>Languages</strong></p> <ul> <li>Fluent in <strong>English</strong></li> <li><strong>Dutch and/or French</strong> are considered strong assets</li> </ul> <p><strong>Practical information</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Start date:</strong> Mid-August 2026</li> <li><strong>Duration:</strong> Fixed contract with long term deployement or yearly renewed contracts with long deployment expected.</li> <li><strong>Location:</strong> Brussels, Ostend and offshore</li> <li><strong>Hybrid setup:</strong> Average of 2–3 days per week on-site or at the main office</li> <li>Regular site visits to the Belgian coast and occasional short international business trips may be required</li> <li>Candidates should reside in Belgium</li> </ul>
