Position Overview
Under the direction of the Vice President, the Warehouse Manager performs a variety of warehouse duties in accordance with company policies and procedures. This position trains all new warehouse employees and oversees their work. Duties include shipping and receiving products while maintaining a clean and organized warehouse. This position will work closely with the operations team to maintain inventory by staging products for deliveries, store stock for all locations in California and the West coast, review inventory for sales orders, and perform all inventory transfers and receipts in SAP. This is a supervisory position.
Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving:
• Pulls and stages all deliveries, store transfers, warehouse transfers, and shipping orders
• Accurately and concisely decipher sales orders, delivery notes, bills of lading, and all other associated documentation
• Ability to accurately count, reconcile, and maintain/manage stock levels and resolve inventory issues
• Label and verify each inbound and outbound shipment and check all items for accuracy
• Prepare stable loads and package cartons for damage-free shipping
• Notify supervisor when discrepancies occur, over-shipments or substitutions have been made
• Accurately receive product and count all items unloaded, and verify with the packing list
• Unload, deliver, and put away all parts and finished goods according to work instructions within 24 hours of receipt
• Loads all delivery trucks in the morning, using extensive knowledge of our miscellaneous trucks and products.
• Assist with refurbishment/reboxing as necessary
• Maintain forklift KPA reports
• Monitor all daily shipments to ensure Delivery Notes (DNs) from the previous day have been fulfilled. Prepare and submit a daily report to the Vice President detailing any delayed or past-due shipments and explanations for each.
• Lead and manage all inventory control activities, including regular physical counts. Implement a weekly cycle count of randomly selected items across finished goods, open-box inventory, and parts. Collaborate closely with the accounting department to ensure accuracy and compliance in inventory reconciliation.
• Oversee the return process at the warehouse for all products, ensuring timely documentation and communication with the Vice President. Responsibilities include recording serial numbers, noting item conditions, photographing any unusual issues, and capturing images of returned chairs to verify their condition. For each return, confirm receipt against an existing Return Authorization (RA); if no RA exists, initiate one accordingly. This process applies to both small parcel and freight returns.
• Manage coding for all warehouse and shipping-related operations. Responsibilities include assigning appropriate cost centers and general ledger (GL) codes for invoices related to carriers such as UPS, FedEx, LTL (e.g., SEKO), pallets, and other logistics expenses. This role requires accessing SAP to verify and assign the correct coding. Once coded, invoices will be submitted to Accounts Payable, and the VP will be copied for approval prior to payment processing.
• Ensure and maintain all warehouse licenses, compliance, and safety standards.

• Maintain work environment to 5S standards
• Punctual: begins work on time and returns from lunch and breaks on time
• All paperwork and database entries filled out completely and accurately
• Promote a positive team atmosphere with co-workers
• Janitorial duties to include sweeping, mopping, trash, restrooms, and maintaining overall cleanliness of warehouse, breakroom, restrooms, and offices.
Supervisory:
• Capable of leading, training, and instructing warehouse employees with all job responsibilities
• Responsible for staffing, terminations, disciplinary actions, training, and developing subordinates (work with designated HR staff)
• Responsible for completing adequate performance documentation on time.
• Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of timecards and approving them in a timely manner.

Requirements
Education:
• High school degree or equivalent required
Experience:
• Shipping and receiving experience required (Fed-EX, UPS Desired).
• A minimum 18-month exemplary work history as a warehouse associate with a high level of experience obtained
• Ability to effectively operate all equipment and computer programs associated with your job duties (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
