About the Role:

CHANEL is looking for a Group Director, Fashion After Sales Workshop Operations to join our Fashion After Sales Team in Piscataway, NJ. You will play a leading role in managing the daily operations of our repair atelier. This role interfaces with our Operations team and is a key partner for our boutiques. Our ideal candidate will have 7 years of experience and a passion for operational efficency team development.

  • Provide clarity and direction around team objectives, ensuring clear expectations and daily productivity goals as well as understanding of current performance
  • Facilitate ongoing process improvement through collaboration

Team Development: 

  • Ensure continuous growth and development of artisan team for both technical and developmental topics (people leadership, presentation)
  • Create and drive development plans, oversee annual review process for all team members
  • Develop consistent policies to balance business needs and approach to daily operations (time and attendance, non-productive tasks)

Performance:

  • Consistently achieve lead time, productivity and QC targets
  • Drive results through effective goal setting and communication
  • Balance lead time and productivity performance expectations while ensuring quality of repairs

Operations and Reporting: 

  • Complete regular analysis of performance to drive improved operations and share with key partners
  • Manage workshop budget and oversee, in partnership with team leads, administrative tasks related to daily workshop operations such as the procurement of supplies and equipment
  • Oversee labor planning, ensure consistent repair volume balanced with team schedule and proactive approach to increased volume
  • Proactively manage workshop leadtime. Monitor daily claim volume and age to ensure efficient distribution of work and optimization of repair flow

Position Logistics: 

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of leadership experience, preferably multi level management experience
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop teams across different levels
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) 
  • Onsite in Piscataway, NJ
  • Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint

Compensation:

  • The anticipated base salary range for this position is $134,900 to $150,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
