This Role:The Senior Director of Incident Response oversees the team responsible for analyzing and responding to cyber incidents. The Senior Director of Incident Response will manage and lead a team of highly technical security professionals focused on the continued enhancement of enterprise capabilities tied to responding to cyber security incidents. The Senior Director of Incident Response will bring strategic vision and technical capability to the team to further enhance and develop the cyber incident response program. Likewise, they will focus on the continuous professional development of the team through various means including internal training sessions, knowledge sharing, and occupational mentorship. They will work on extremely complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables. In addition to deep technical expertise and experience, they will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that they do.

This Role:The Senior Director of Incident Response oversees the team responsible for analyzing and responding to cyber incidents. Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as a central point of contact during incidents, coordinating response efforts across multiple teams including IT, business operations, legal, and communication and collaborates to ensure timely and effective response coordination.
- Supports the investigation and analysis of incidents to identify potential vulnerabilities; collects and analyzes relevant data and evidence, working closely with counterparts and business partners to understand the full scope of the incident and coordinate the implementation of corrective actions.
- Participate in developing enterprise policy, training, preparation activities and act as the main point of contact for the team, business partners, and external parties involved in the incident.
- Oversee multiple teams responsible for conducting SIEM operations, security monitoring, threat hunting, management of security technologies, and security incident response.
- Coach and mentor individuals at all levels of the organization, demonstrating tangible results and growth in your people.
- Manage projects related to DFIR readiness such as integration into new BU processes, new technology and incident readiness, and introduction of resiliency improvements.
Key Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in a large-scale crisis management/ incident response field or an equivalent environment, whether in the public or private sector.
- Experience of coordinating organizational response to cyber security incidents.
- knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements pertaining to operational and cyber resilience.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, editing and presentation skills along with experience in writing detailed situation reports and after-action reports for senior-level audiences.
- Analytical thinker with the aptitude to collate and validate multiple streams of information; comfortable acting within ambiguous circumstances.
