Embroidery Kitting Specialist

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Under the direct supervision of the Screenprint/Embroidery Supervisor, this position is responsible for assigning workload and maintaining daily work flow for operators in the screenprint/embroidery department.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong continuous improvement mindset- always looking for the most efficient and effective way to ensure our kitting area is running smoothly.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
Pay: $16/hr
A Typical Day (job functions) | Operate + Unload + Analyze + Verify + Repeat
- Assigns daily workflow to kitters, ie: screens, garments, etc.
- Coordinates training of kitters and maintains daily flow
- Reports errors/issues to screenprint/embroidery supervisor
- Organizes orders of garments and production workflow for production teams to maintain team goals
- Ensures kitting team maintains aisles: clear, cleaned and organized racks; threads picked up daily and put away
- Follows the 6S: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain and Safety
- Initiate daily tasks of finding and locating orders and unloading pallets as needed
- Ensure adequate work is available for operators on the floor
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs. continuously
- Other duties as assigned including special projects
Skills (qualifications) | Self-Motivated + Detail-Oriented + TEAM Player
- High school diploma preferred, but not required
- Ability to assess needs and prioritize
- Train the Trainer Program completion preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively and coach the kitting team
- Ability to work well independently and as a team
- Accuracy is required, must understand order form and be able to count
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment
- Must be self-directed & self-motivated
- Knowledge of MS Office products: Excel, Word, etc.
- Ability to be on your feet 8-10 hrs/day
