About the Role:

Business Banking is a key strategic business unit within AIB Capital Markets delivering a pro-active customer centric operating model.  The skills and capabilities within the overall Business Unit comprise relationship management skills, sector expertise, industry and market insights and centres of excellence focused on strategy, service, value add, efficiency, performance, and portfolio management.

 

Business Banking leverages off the wider holistic product and service offering within Capital Markets and from across AIB to provide additional value for more enduring and sustainable business relationships to develop long term Strategic Partnerships with our customers.

 

Our ambition is to be the best Bank in the market at supporting Medium Businesses and ultimately to back our customers in achieving their dreams and ambitions.  An opportunity now exists on the Governance & Assurance team within the Performance Management team. The Team executes first line operational, governance and assurance activities to ensure that there is a robust risk and control environment across Business Banking teams.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Support the delivery of key operational risk, governance, and assurance activities, accurately and efficiently in a customer focused manner.
  • Manage mailbox queries, dealing efficiently, professionally, and accurately with all requests & queries to deliver exceptional customer service and experience.
  • Investigating and reporting of issues in a timely and accurate manner with onward reporting to management.
  • Take accountability for the business unit procedure’s hub, ensuring that processes are updated within agreed timelines and that all governance procedures are followed.
  • Work collaboratively and build relationships with various teams and internal stakeholders to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Assist with other tasks and ad-hoc projects that arise within the team.

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Experience in performing operational risk, governance activities and /or control testing/ quality assurance sampling.
  • Ability to deal professionally and accurately with all requests & queries/assigned activities to deliver exceptional customer service and experience.
  • Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative with strong attention to detail, completing tasks within agreed timeframes and to a very high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communications skills.
  • A high level of competency using Powerpoint, Excel and Word.
