Job Summary
Rich Products Corporation is a growing global food manufacturer that is serious about investing in manufacturing technology to support future growth. The manufacturing systems engineer is a key part of our Digital Manufacturing team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex applications and systems to support manufacturing operations in our 26 facilities across the US and Canada. This corporate level role interfaces closely with various stakeholders, including plant and maintenance managers, to ensure smooth operation of IT systems and to provide technical support. The role involves troubleshooting, system upgrades, and enhancing digital capabilities as part of Rich’s 2030 vision to become a digitally-powered, global food organization.
The position offers a flexible work environment with remote work options and requires up to 50% travel within the US and Canada as project needs demand.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
• Manage small to medium capital projects, acting as a single point of contact.
• Develop and configure systems in Aveva System Platform and other tools to support automation system deployments and upgrades.
• Support interfaces to plant automation devices and systems.
• Develop and manage system lifecycle execution plans for digital manufacturing tools.
• Consult with supply chain, operations, corporate engineering, and manufacturing associates to determine business needs and identify system requirements.
• Provide Level 3 technical support for select applications.
• Design and implement complex systems and network solutions.
• Perform system and network troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, MIS, CS or related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in automation engineering, controls, MES solution deployment or manufacturing facility application developnent
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role in food & bev, CPG or manufacturing industries
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, batching, electrical, and control systems.
Preferred:
- Experience with Aveva automation software products, especially System Platform, InTouch, and Historian, or comparable products.
- Proficiency with Microsoft products (especially Windows Servers, SQL Server) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V) and cloud computing platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

COMPENSATION
In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.
Annual Range/Hourly Rate
$79,900.00 - $108,100.00
