Position Description: 

The Senior DevOps Engineer is a key member of our team responsible for ensuring we are developing cutting edge and best-in-class systems across PAR’s SaaS product lines. The DevOps team is tasked with implementing DevOps principles within all software development teams and driving improvement, innovation, and market dominance through these principles.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Punchh, a part of PAR Technology, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping and maintaining a highly scalable, resilient, and automated cloud infrastructure that powers restaurant operations worldwide. What We’re Looking For:

Requirements:

• 9+ years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering roles.

• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi) at enterprise scale.

• Strong scripting and automation experience (Python, Go, Bash).

• Hands-on experience with AWS services: EKS, S3, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, RDS, VPC, API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, etc.

• Extensive Kubernetes production experience.

• Advanced Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, SSL/TLS, VPNs, and Cloud Networking.

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, GitOps).

• Expertise in observability/monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, New Relic, DataDog).

• Security-focused mindset with IAM, secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), compliance frameworks.

• Leadership experience mentoring engineers and driving DevOps best practices.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.

 • Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure for Punchh applications.

• Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast and reliable delivery.

• Drive automation across infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and security.

• Collaborate with engineering teams on observability, alerting, and incident response.

• Enhance security and compliance through best practices in access control, encryption, and audit logging.

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and HA strategies.

• Mentor DevOps engineers to elevate technical skills and culture.

• Evaluate and integrate emerging DevOps tools and technologies.
