Jr Investment Operations Analyst

Position Summary

•    Assists in the reporting and monitoring of existing investments of the CIF (i.e., executive dashboards, performance reporting, cash management, and investment monitoring)
•    Reviews data entry of market value and performance estimates.
•    Manages centralized email correspondence from investment managers, distributing information to team members as needed.
•    Reviews and initiates all cash movement notices from investment managers and transactions initiated by MSU.
•    Maintains and manages data and documents related to the CIF, ensuring proper backup and adherence to data retention requirements
•    Assists in reviewing and analyzing cash flows and outstanding commitments, reconciling them to MSU records.
•    Assists with the maintenance of investment software including setting up new funds, companies, share classes, and performing month end review processes.
•    Reviews and reconciles investment software backup data and resolves related issues
•    Collects and assists reviewing audited financial statements for all investment managers.
•    Collects and validates Schedule K-1 tax forms and foreign entity tax reporting for all investment funds.
•    Assists in preparing investment office budget. 
•    Contributes to the research, design and implementation of systems and processes in order to continuously improve the functions of the Investment Operations. 
•    Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

The job requires: knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year degree program in accounting or finance with relevant course work in business administration; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in accounting, auditing or financial analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
