POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Director of Ambulatory Integrated Technology is responsible for advancing the effective use of technology solutions across all NCH ambulatory clinics. This role focuses on improving clinical workflows, ensuring optimal use of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and related technologies, and enhancing operational efficiency. The Director collaborates closely with providers, clinical teams, operational leadership, and IT resources to define and implement best practices, drive training initiatives, the introduction of new technologies, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS 

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered. 

Certification: 

  • MA/LPN/RN Certification Preferred 
  • CRHCP Certification Preferred 

Licensure: 

  • Association* accredited course in Basic Life Support (BLS) (for clinical staff), or Heartsaver CPR AED (for nonclinical staff), and renewal on a regular basis, with up to a three-month grace period after the expiration date. 

Skills: 

  • Operational Workflow Design: Ability to analyze, define, optimize, and standardize ambulatory clinical workflows using technology solutions. 
  • Training & Development: Skilled in developing and delivering engaging training programs for providers and clinical staff. 
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Strong ability to foster partnerships across clinical, operational, and IT teams. 
  • Quality & Compliance Management: Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting ambulatory operations and clinical technologies. 
  • Technology Integration: Familiarity with EMR platforms and healthcare technology tools that support ambulatory care delivery. 
  • Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Ability to identify system issues and work with IT resources for resolution. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to ongoing evaluation of system performance, user adoption, and operational effectiveness.
