Details of Appointment
This role is a permanent, day work position working 73.50 hours per fortnight.

Benefits
Salary of $99,482 to $104,352 pa. starting salary negotiable within range subject to experience in a similar role. Annual salary increases within this range in accordance with the Tasmanian State Service Award and Public Service Union Wages Agreement

Working Environment
Tasmania Prison Service (TPS) has prison facilities located at Risdon Vale, Hobart and Launceston in Tasmania. This position is based at Risdon Vale.
The Risdon Vale site offers a corporate working environment without the hustle and bustle of city centre offices, free on-site parking and access to the on-site staff gym (or head across the road to Risdon Brook Dam for a walk at lunch time).
Duties
- Management of the Tasmania Prison Service Store, Canteen and Warehousing operation ensuring compliance with policy and procedures in accordance with Government procurement requirements.
- Ongoing development of Canteen and Store policy, procedures and operations in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements.
- Development and ongoing management of training for all staff within the stores output.
- Provision of supervision, leadership and guidance for all staff within the stores output.
- Management of prisoner labour and associated vocational training within the Stores output.
- Manage the ongoing development and review of stores information and control systems.
- Develop, negotiate and maintain preferred supplier agreements on behalf of the TPS in accordance with Treasury requirements and operational policy.
- Manage the maintenance and development of the inventory control system to ensure goods which are ordered, received, stored and dispatched are appropriately managed.
- Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure processes are delivering optimum efficiency and customer service within the outputs capacity.
- Provide technical advice to internal stakeholders in relation to the ongoing development of stores, Canteen and Warehousing operations.
- Perform other tasks as directed by your line Manager.
