Job Description:
About the Role:
As a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler II, you will be a key player in shaping a supportive and engaging work environment for our Wayland, MI, plant, a manufacturer of quality non-dairy coffee creamer. Your role will act as a support partner in efforts to oversee the maintenance planning process at the plant. This role adds value by performing a range of functions including, but not limited to, coordinating maintenance schedules, planning preventive maintenance activities, and ensuring timely execution of work orders to support operational efficiency.
You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
- Determine the level of planning required for maintenance work, including estimating time, cost, and parts needed.
- Scope maintenance jobs by identifying required materials, tools, and labor resources, whether internal or through OEMs, vendors, or contractors.
- Research OEM manuals, technical prints, and documentation to support accurate maintenance planning.
- Schedule and coordinate equipment shutdowns, major equipment rebuilds, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Partner with the Maintenance leadership to plan and schedule work on conveyors, packaging machinery, production equipment, and electrical control systems.
- Schedule all preventive maintenance (PM) orders, manage SAP transactions, control parts inventory, and attend daily operations meetings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date equipment documentation in compliance with standard procedures.
- Perform data entry into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP) to assign, schedule, and track work orders.
- Prepare and manage unscheduled work orders in response to urgent production needs.
- Other assigned duties.
Important Details:
- This is a full-time, on-site role on First Shift, Monday through Friday. Occasional flexibility is required to support alternate shifts and weekends.
