Raytheon’s Specialty Field Engineering is seeking a Senior Field Service Representative (FSR) to provide maintenance support and / or advice on the Javelin Command Launch Unit (CLU), Javelin Basic Skills Trainer (BST), Field Tactical Trainer (FTT) and other Javelin ­related equipment in South Korea.

This unaccompanied position will be located at Camp Casey, South Korea as an international assignment with additional compensation.

Training will be in McKinney, TX and Los Angeles, CA before deployment.

40-hour work week, on a schedule determined by the customer.

In-­country travel, as needed by the FMS customer, to field locations in support of the tasks listed below.

What You Will Do

  • Use applicable technical publications to perform repairs involving fault isolation and testing, to include the replacement of parts and adjustments to CLUs, BSTs, and FTT units.
  • Provide maintenance and supply support of Javelin hardware and shipping / handling of end items, spares, repair parts, calibrated resources, and hazardous material.
  • Provide on­site support and technical guidance, liaison assistance and information pertinent to maintenance of the CLUs, BSTs, and FTT units.
  • Perform all aspects of troubleshooting and repair to various types of circuit cards, cable harnesses, electronic, and electro­optical assemblies as well as analyzing equipment failures to determine root cause and recommend corrective action.
  • Development or application of preventive maintenance checks and service procedures.

Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignment including comprehensive post-offer medical examination.

Qualification You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Certification for hand soldering, through­-hole and surface amount soldering along with cable and harness rework will be required.
  • Experience with all aspects of electronics troubleshooting and repair.
  • Experience installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing military equipment.
  • Must be able to be certified for hand soldering, through­-hole and surface amount soldering along with cable and harness rework.
  • Experience reading and working schematics, blueprints, written and oral rework instructions.
  • Experience with loading software using a memory loader / verifier (MLV).
  • Experience using standard electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital voltmeter (DVM), standard electronic assembly, test resources, and materials.
  • Experience incorporating hardware and software modifications on tactical, training, and test and support equipment resulting from changes in engineering, design, and obsolescence.
  • Experience supporting customers in repair and maintenance of CLU, BST, and FTT.
  • Experience analyzing equipment failures to determine root cause and recommend corrective action.
  • Excellent proficiency in administrative data tracking and inventory accountability.
  • Ability to work odd hours in support of the customer’s needs.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Prior years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Prior military and/or field engineering support for an OCONUS customer.
  • Understanding and application of industry principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
  • Ability to be solder, cable, and harness certified
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office suites.
  • Ability to perform effectively in as a standalone technician with remote supervision.
