About the role

What you need to succeed as a Warranty and Reliability Manager at XPO:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years of experience filing warranty claims, pulling data, developing reports and utilizing Microsoft Excel for data capturing and reporting purposes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong customer-facing skills
  • Proficient with Windows OS and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in warranty activities across a medium to large enterprise environment
  • Project management experience
  • Supervisory experience in a team-focused environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in an analytical field or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years of experience in a supply chain, procurement or transportation service company
  • Less-than-truckload (LTL) experience
  • Able to perform and direct very complex analyses in spreadsheet and database programs such as Excel and Access
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management techniques and processes
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Manage a staff, including developing talent, coaching, leading situational and competency awareness, hiring, firing and driving performance improvement
  • Develop the warranty collection strategy for LTL, including developing training and operational KPIs, and determining BI and IT requirements
  • Assist in training operations team members on warranty program best practices
  • Provide input on best warranty coverage packages on new purchases
  • Advise on best practices to mitigate risk due to out-of-warranty mechanical failures; develop, test and implement programs that improve equipment reliability and decrease mechanical issues
  • Create action plans for equipment repairs to improve repair times and outcomes
  • Partner with shared resources to support initiatives
  • Develop and manage the completion of all equipment campaigns and safety recalls
  • Champion fluid analysis program, driving results and effectiveness of the program
  • Maintain responsibility for all warranty activities, including power units, trailers, forklifts, hostlers, electronic onboard computers, handhelds, part number lines ($1.3M in value) and fleet maintenance platform business ownership
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
