Are you a highly motivated, organized self-starter with experience in event management? Do you enjoy developing and managing regional events and overseeing the planning and execution of everything from webinars to workshops, and executive dinners to large conferences?
HackerOne is looking for a driven North American Regional Event Specialist to own the planning, execution, and oversight of regional events including trade shows, conference sponsorships, and proprietary events aligned to the overall marketing and sales strategy. The Regional Event Specialist plays a key role on the regional marketing team helping to drive event-based initiatives aimed at creating new business pipeline. This role reports to the Director of North America Regional Marketing.

HackerOne is looking for a driven North American Regional Event Specialist to own the planning, execution, and oversight of regional events including trade shows, conference sponsorships, and proprietary events aligned to the overall marketing and sales strategy. The Regional Event Specialist plays a key role on the regional marketing team helping to drive event-based initiatives aimed at creating new business pipeline. This role reports to the Director of North America Regional Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Working with event sponsors (eg. regional marketing team, product marketing, executives, and sales, etc.) to understand requirements and objectives for each event and identify key stakeholders.
- Planning and executing regional events, including tradeshows, leadership dinners, meeting makers, networking activities, workshops, and webinars.
- Developing effective relationships with industry associations, exhibition partners, and suppliers to deliver ROI on marketing event investments.
- Managing event logistics including contract negotiations, production of attendee materials, sponsorship deliverables, exhibit orders, budget tracking, catering and AV, onsite execution, and post-event follow-up.
- Conducting event research, managing lists, and securing sponsorships/venues.
- Planning and leading internal meetings to align on planning elements.
- Coordinating the execution of event-related invitations and marketing emails.
- Providing post-event recaps and recommendations based on data, feedback, and performance.
- Contributing to and reporting on target event metrics, as well as providing future event recommendations and adjustments to the process.
- Ensuring proper lead capture at events and transfer of leads to Digital Marketing for lead clean-up and upload to our CRM.
- Managing the events calendar and communicating regularly on event objectives, agenda and important actions from pre-event through program execution and measurement.
- Collaborating with manager to build scaleable events strategy including service level agreements, guidelines, checklists, and playbooks for routine events.
- Working closely with various marketing teams (corporate events, marketing communications, customer marketing, etc.) to drive successful customer engagement and market awareness.
Who You Are
- A self-starter who is motivated and passionate enough to do whatever it takes to accomplish our team’s mission
- You have a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in program/event planning, public relations, marketing, or related area, is a plus
- Experience working for a security organization or high tech B2B is a plus
- Able to prioritize and complete multiple tasks, and follow through to achieve strategic goals.
- Dynamic, flexible, entrepreneurial, resourceful, detail-minded, organized, capable of working under pressure, and committed to delivering the best experiences for HackerOne event attendees
- A team player who can multitask and is willing to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done
- Willing to move boxes, prepare event materials and ship both event and technology hardware.
- Have a desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
