About the role

Instructional Systems Designer, Junior

The Opportunity:

We need your expertise to develop training that will transform national security. You know that even the best tools and processes can’t have an impact without the right education. Constructing an interactive course that teaches critical information and tradecraft requires a real passion for understanding the needs of your customer. We have an opportunity for an instructional designer who is committed to solving some of the toughest challenges in the Department of Defense by crafting effective training.

On our team, you’ll work with subject matter experts, training leads, and product designers to capture your customer’s training needs and recommend the right learning solution to help them accomplish their mission and objectives. You’ll learn how to put the learner at the center of the training experience as you help create training material with graphic designers and trainers, following the ADDIE model.

This is a chance to use your technical skills and creativity to come up with new instructional design ideas to make engaging, interactive learning experiences on screen or in a classroom. You’ll use cutting-edge multimedia technologies and strategies to shape a successful learning environment. Communication is key, so you’ll meet with experts and product designers throughout the process to discuss learning material and incorporate feedback. To ensure your solution is hitting the mark, you’ll collect and analyze results using evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model, then work with the team to fine-tune your training for maximum impact. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll learn new tools and skills to develop a creative learning experience that will engage students.

Work with us as we improve national security through learner-centered instructional design.
