Role Summary (About the Business)The Walmart US eCommerce cross border team builds products that allow Marketplace sellers to easily provide fast, affordable delivery options to Walmart's customers. You will play a critical role in expanding the breadth and relevance of products available to Walmart customers. This role will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Business teams to identify opportunities, improve the end-to-end customer experience, and scale selection in a sustainable way. You will help define and execute a multi-year strategy that accelerates growth while maintaining Walmart’s standards for trust, value, and quality. In this role you will apply a general management perspective and problem-solving approach, will be agile and able to apply the right frameworks, operating cadence, and business analysis & acumen to the product roadmap. As such, you will be able to identify key risks, dependencies, and work with the requisite teams internally or externally to put solutions in place that will achieve the desired outcomes. You’ll apply your business acumen and analytical mindset to separate signal from noise and provide sellers a roadmap to win on our platform.
You will be skilled at engaging and communicating to senior executives across multiple domains, as well as engaging at a detailed level across product management, strategy, merchant technology, retail merchandising, supply chain & analytics.
What you'll do...
Position Summary The Principal, Tech Ops – Cross Border will lead operational execution for Walmart’s cross border programs in several countries. This position is responsible for defining and driving a multi-year business strategy to expand marketplace globally to other countries aligned with customer needs and company priorities. You will partner with business development teams to onboard sellers and expand inventory. The role requires strong analytical skills, industry expertise, and a passion for global eCommerce. What You’ll Do- Anchor business reviews at weekly, monthly and quarterly cadence
- Define market-specific priorities, write BRDs and bridge between business and product teams
- Perform analyses, build actionable bridges to meet goals and drive execution
- Own and manage the program PnL
- Define program priorities and drive stakeholder alignment across different pods
- Differentiate head inventory (high-selling items) from tail inventory unique to each country.
- Use industry research, analyst reports, and market data to understand buying patterns across countries.
- Build dashboards and reports in Excel and Tableau to track performance and opportunities.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership to align on strategy, trade-offs, and execution plans.
- Strategic thinking and ability to translate data insights into actionable plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and Tableau.
- Experience in eCommerce operations and familiarity with global marketplaces.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in eCommerce operations, with at least 2 years in cross-border or international eCommerce.
- Proven ability to analyze large datasets and develop actionable insights.
- Experience with global ecommerce leading PNL for a country
- Knowledge of international logistics, fulfillment, and export compliance.
- Familiarity with industry research and market trend analysis.
