In this role you will contribute to the research and development of our in-house tools and help establish and develop processes and procedures within Unreal Engine 5 to enable content development teams to meet our creative and technical goals. </p><p><strong>Daily Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate closely with art directors, engineers, content designers, and artists to achieve the project's creative and technical goals.</li><li>Develop tools and processes that enhance Unreal Engine 5 focusing on scalability, efficiency, and ease of use.</li><li>Researching and integrating new features in Unreal Engine 5.</li><li>Ensure high-quality asset integration while maintaining performance and memory efficiency.</li><li>Identify and address bottlenecks in the art workflows ensuring a smooth development process.</li><li>Write high-quality code that is optimized, bug-free, and aligned with project goals.</li><li>Documentation, training, and guidance for development teams.</li><li>Mentoring and guiding technical artists, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>At least 5 years of professional experience in a technical art role within the games industry.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine 5</li><li>Demonstrable experience using and developing tools that help aid the Unreal content creation process (Blueprints, PCG, Editor Utility Widgets, Editor Scripts, Geometry Scripting, and Slate Editor Tools). </li><li>Familiarity with procedural content systems.</li><li>Experience in tool development and automation using C++ and/or Python.</li><li>Strong understanding of content performance/memory optimization process and procedures. </li><li>Experience working within content creation software (Blender, Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter).</li><li>Ability to think creatively and strategically to overcome complex technical challenges and drive innovation in technology.</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to taking ownership, setting goals, exchanging knowledge and driving initiatives independently.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li></ul><p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p><p>(Please note that these skills are not required to apply for the position)</p><ul><li>Solid understanding of GPU workflows (lighting, rendering, compute shaders), especially using Unreal Engine 5.</li><li>Experience in network automation, batching, and packaged environment setups.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>For this role you can choose between a remote-first or office-first working mode.</p><ul><li>Office-First: working primarily from the Warsaw, Wroclaw, or Cracow office for a minimum of 10 days per month.</li><li>Remote-First: working from home, or from any location that is within 3 hours of the GMT+3 time zone.</li></ul><p><strong>Perks &amp; Professional Growth</strong></p><ul><li>Flexible working hours — start your workday anytime between 8:00 and 10:00 AM.</li><li>A welcome pack filled with goodies — to help you feel right at home once you join the team.</li><li>Trainings, lectures and courses — internal workshops, external training for each employee, ‘Meet a star’ events, knowledge-sharing initiatives, online tutorials, and e-learning classes are all available.
