We are looking for: 

 

The Raw Material Quality Engineer will play a key role in quality improvement initiatives in a high-volume engineered materials (adhesives) manufacturing facility. They will be an active participant in defect reduction endeavors as they relate to Supplier/ In-House defect origination as well as to Process Capability deficiencies

• Supports the Maintenance, improvements and sustainability of our AS9100 Quality Management System
• Monitors product performance via the current Operational metrics: initiate corrective action programs to address unfavorable trends
• Host External auditors and support for customer visits and meetings
• Work with Supplier Quality to improve quality of incoming raw materials.
• Participant in our internal audit program
• Quality liaison to Customer Support, Operations, Technical Services and Sales teams
• Support to Calibration and Receiving Inspection processes and teams
• Actively support Safety improvement initiatives

You will bring: 

 

• Bachelor’s level degree in an engineering field of discipline; BS Chemical Engineering or Chemistry preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in Manufacturing; Experience in aerospace chemicals, coatings, plastics, adhesives or composites industries preferred.
• 4-6 years’ experience with ISO 9001 and or AS9100 quality systems  
• Project management - Manage multiple projects and priorities
• Experience using Six-Sigma tools; Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Statistical Process Control (SPC), and chemical and/or mechanical testing    
• Certification from ASQ preferred
• College level algebra and statistics preferred.
• Experience working in a union environment preferred.

• The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $80,560 to $100,700 per year 
• Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
