How you will make an impact:
As a Manufacturing Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and improving electrical power distribution and industrial control systems across our Dalton facility. You will support a complex manufacturing environment, ensuring reliability across medium- and low-voltage systems while partnering closely with maintenance and operations teams. This role is critical in driving safe, efficient electrical operations, including coordinating planned outages, executing switching procedures, and maintaining compliance programs. You’ll also contribute to a wide range of capital and maintenance projects, giving you the opportunity to grow your technical expertise and lead impactful initiatives across the site.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic manufacturing environment with diverse technical challenges
Coordinate closely with electricians, maintenance personnel, and contractors to plan and execute work safely and efficiently
Develop and implement electrical outage plans and switching procedures
Update and maintain electrical documentation including one-line diagrams and system records
Support and oversee installation, commissioning, and performance validation of electrical systems
Assist in developing training materials, procedures, and technical documentation
Evaluate vendor proposals and coordinate external services (electrical, fabrication, structural, etc.)
Ensure equipment performance meets operational expectations and reliability targets
Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
Required:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Distribution, or commensurate experience
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and industrial equipment
Ability to develop and evaluate technical specifications
Project management and budgeting experience
Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
