We are looking for a talented Product Owner III to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Corporate organization in Atlanta, GA.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Shape Business Priorities – Identify short- and long-term goals using Lean-Agile thinking and business expertise to align strategy with customer needs.
- Champion the Customer Voice – Represent the customer by defining personas, prioritizing their problems, and ensuring solutions address real market challenges.
- Drive Product Vision & Backlog – Own and refine the product and program backlogs, set iteration goals, and ensure transparency for all stakeholders.
- Lead Agile Practices – Apply Lean/Agile leadership principles, facilitate Program Increment planning, and maintain flow through just-in-time story elaboration.
- Enable High-Quality Delivery – Use Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and clear acceptance criteria to reduce rework, increase efficiency, and ensure Definition of Done.
- Bridge Strategy and Execution – Connect strategic objectives with tactical plans by collaborating with Product Managers, Architects, and cross-functional teams.
- Measure and Optimize Outcomes – Define KPIs and OKRs to track success, continuously inspect and adapt processes, and improve product performance.
- Influence and Build Relationships – Gain buy-in across a matrix organization, foster collaboration, and leverage Business Relationship Management to deliver value.

- Lean Agile and SAFe Mindset - Advocates for and leads others in the concepts of the Agile Manifesto and Lean thinking in support of adopting and applying the 9 SAFe principles and practices for the organization.
- Lean Portfolio Management, budgets, and Economic Framework - Applies Lean and systems thinking approaches in support of strategy, investment funding, Agile portfolio operations, and governance; evaluates working systems; manages Epic investments and dynamic budget adjustments to minimize overhead through funding and empowering Value Streams while maintaining financial and fit-for-use governance to minimize overhead; assesses and supports decision rules that align to the financial objectives of the Solution to guide the economic decision-making process.
- Planning and Managing Ceremonies - Plans, schedules, and leads ceremonies that create a cadence for the team to maximize productivity, promote collaboration, maintain transparency, and inspect and adapt so the team can continuously learn and improve.
- Program Backlog Management and User Story Elaboration - Identifies, refines, prioritizes, and sequences backlog items using Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF) to ensure the economic success of the solution; determines the details of a product feature to ensure that any unanswered questions about it are answered so that development can proceed.
- Values differences - Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required.
- SAFe® Product Owner/Agile Product Manager (POPM) certification preferred. <
