Job Summary:
The Director, Master Data Management & Governance will be responsible for managing and ensuring the integrity of master data across key business functions. This role will support data governance, quality assurance, and integration efforts across ImageFIRST systems, collaborating with stakeholders to maintain accurate, up-to-date data. The successful candidate will work to streamline and optimize data processes, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. This role will also contribute to the strategic management of data to support operational excellence and business growth.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Develop & Implement MDM Strategy
· Lead the design and execution of a scalable Master Data Management (MDM) framework that aligns with business priorities and governance standards.
· Integrate MDM processes across the company to enhance data consistency, accuracy, and availability.
· Ensure high-quality, accurate, and complete master data across key business systems, including finance, supply chain, sales, and customer operations.
Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Partner with key stakeholders, including business leaders and IT teams, to resolve critical data issues and secure buy-in for MDM initiatives.
· Promote collaboration across departments to address data challenges and improve data accessibility and reliability.
· Act as a liaison between business functions and IT, translating business needs into actionable data management requirements.
Optimize MDM Tools & Platforms
· Oversee the configuration and enhancement of MDM tools and platforms (e.g., SQL DataLake, Oracle FDI, Looker) to improve data quality, governance, and system integration.
· Regularly assess existing MDM systems to identify opportunities for upgrades or improvements that align with evolving data management needs.
· Implement new MDM tools and technologies as necessary, ensuring seamless integration with business systems and workflows.
Monitor & Improve Data Quality
· Continuously monitor and track data quality metrics to maintain the integrity of master data across all systems.
· Establish and enforce data quality standards and processes to ensure data is accurate, complete, and compliant with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
· Provide data governance support to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
Train & Support Teams
· Develop and deliver training programs on MDM best practices, data governance principles, and data stewardship responsibilities.
· Foster a culture of data excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement by educating stakeholders on the importance of maintaining high-quality data.
· Provide ongoing support to internal teams, ensuring they have the necessary resources and knowledge to manage data effectively.
Lead Data Integration Initiatives
· Oversee the design and execution of data integration strategies, including managing ETL processes and ensuring seamless master data integration across various systems.
· Collaborate with IT teams to streamline data workflows and ensure consistency across relational databases (SQL, Informatica, SSIS, Talend) and other enterprise platforms.
· Identify and resolve integration challenges, ensuring synchronized and accessible master data across business systems.
Data Governance & Compliance
· Define, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks to ensure consistent, high-quality MDM across the organization.
· Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations and organizational standards, guiding teams on how to adhere to governance policies.
