In this role, you will be pivotal in designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure on <strong>Google Cloud Platform</strong>. You will champion automation, implement robust CI/CD pipelines, and instill a culture of reliability and operational excellence across engineering teams.</li></ul><p><br/><strong>As a Senior Cloud Engineer at Beyond, you’ll:</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Architect and implement sophisticated, automated <strong>CI/CD pipelines</strong> for a variety of application workloads, enabling rapid and reliable software delivery.</li><li>Design, build, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on <strong>Google Cloud Platform (GCP)</strong> using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, primarily with Terraform.</li><li>Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using <strong>Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)</strong> and Docker, ensuring high availability and performance.</li><li>Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies using tools like Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure system health and proactive issue resolution.</li><li>Champion and integrate security best practices <strong>(DevSecOps)</strong> into the SDLC, including vulnerability scanning, identity and access management (IAM), and network security configurations.</li><li>Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize application deployment strategies, improve system reliability, and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.</li><li>Promote DevOps best practices and <strong>mentor other engineers</strong>, driving a culture of automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.</li></ul><p><br/><strong>Things that will make you stand out:</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.</li><li><strong>5+ years of hands-on experience</strong> in a Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or DevOps role.</li><li>Deep expertise in the <strong>Google Cloud Platform (GCP)</strong> ecosystem, including GKE, Cloud Build, Cloud Run, IAM, and VPC networking.</li><li>Mastery of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with a strong command of <strong>Terraform.</strong></li><li>Proven experience with containerization <strong>(Docker)</strong> and container orchestration <strong>(Kubernetes)</strong>.</li><li>Demonstrable experience building and operating robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.</li><li>Proficiency in scripting languages such as <strong>Python, Go, or Bash</strong> for automation tasks.</li><li>Strong understanding of cloud networking principles, including firewalls, load balancing, and DNS.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification.</li><li>Experience with multi-cloud environments, particularly AWS or Azure.</li><li>Familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio or Anthos.</li><li>Experience with cost management and optimization practices in the cloud (FinOps).</li><li>Knowledge of chaos engineering principles and practices.</li></ul><p></p><p>Having been named among the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies, we believe culture plays a large role in what we offer as an organization.
