Description
The Business Development Assistant will play a crucial role in QCS’s Business Development Department. This person's responsibilities will include working with the Business Development team to support the development of business proposals. They will be trained by and provide support to the Business Development Coordinator.
The Business Development Assistant will work closely with the Business Development team to assist with tracking down and organizing information for proposals, conferences, presentations, and marketing materials. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management, a proactive self-starter personality, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. The Business Development Assistant will be responsible for maintaining an updated resume base for company field employees.
Requirements
Essential Functions
- Collaborates with the Business Development team on proposal preparation, writing, proofing, printing, binding, mailing, etc.
- Assists the marketing and business development departments with administrative support as needed.
- Works with managers, field staff, and Training Coordinator to gather information and documentation to keep staff resumes up to date.
- Support shortlist interview preparation, such as preparation handouts, name cards, presentations, etc.
- Organizes and maintains boilerplate information for proposal purposes.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with existing and potential clients and Quinn personnel.
- Assists with completing conference registrations and hotel reservations as needed. (including conference registrations, exhibitor registrations, and hotel reservations)
- Available for occasional Eastern U.S. travel to supported office locations, conferences or marketing events as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills: Crucial for the Business Development Assistant to assist with the completion of multiple proposals, cost proposals, or document updates simultaneously.
- Attention to detail is essential for ensuring accuracy and formatting consistency in resumes, project writeups, proposals, presentations, and marketing materials. This includes tracking information updates across multiple documentation platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

- Basic understanding of industry terminology and procedures preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Required Education and Experience
- Experience with technical writing.
Preferred Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience with Adobe publishing software.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment with work-from-home flexibility when approved by the Business Development Manager and the Business Development Coordinator.
