As an HR Generalist, you’ll be a key player in ensuring smooth, efficient HR operations while contributing to our culture of excellence and growth. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and leadership to support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to offboarding, with a focus on driving engagement, retention, and continuous improvement. This role offers a unique opportunity to wear many hats in a high-growth environment where your work will have a direct impact on the company’s success. We’re looking for someone with 4-6 years of HR experience who is excited to support the existing team to build and optimize processes as GoBolt continues to scale.
Salary Range: USD$80k-100k
Location: This is a full time on site role at our Buena Park warehouse
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding/Offboarding:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to coordinate hourly recruitment needs
- Screen candidates, schedule interviews, and support the hiring and selection process
- Facilitate onboarding, new hire orientations, and I-9 verification for all warehouse positions
- Support workforce planning and seasonal staffing strategy
HR Operations & Administration:
- Maintain accurate employee files and HRIS records in Rippling
- Process employee changes, terminations, promotions, and status updates
- Manage timekeeping issues in collaboration with managers
- Support payroll by verifying hours and resolving discrepancies
- Manage I9 compliance
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (California-specific)
- Assist with workers’ compensation claims, modified duty, and communication with insurance providers
- Participate in safety meetings and reinforce safety protocols
- Support required audits, reporting, and regulatory documentation
Employee Relations
- Serve as the first point of contact for warehouse employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and general inquiries
- Support and guide leaders on performance management, corrective actions, and coaching
- Conduct investigations into employee concerns, including attendance, conduct, and workplace conflicts
- Maintain strong floor presence to build trust and ensure real-time support
Qualifications:
- 4–6 years of HR experience, ideally in a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of California labor laws and HR compliance requirements
- Experience supporting hourly workforce and frontline leaders
- Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to navigate fast-paced, high-volume environments with competing priorities
- Experience with HRIS and timekeeping systems (Rippling—preferred)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong asset
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgment
