MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in Fayetteville, NC.
In this role, you will contribute to a mission-focused team that will support military operators and mission partners by leveraging your extensive development experience to design, build, and maintain software systems supporting defense and intelligence operations. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers, analysts, and mission experts to deliver reliable and scalable software solutions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conducting research into fundamental computer and information science as theorists, designers, or inventors.
Developing solutions to problems in the field of computer hardware and software.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure integration with existing systems
Evaluating and improving existing software systems for performance, scalability, and maintainability
Ensuring adherence to secure coding practices and contributing to risk assessments and remediation planning
As part of the C5ISR Team, designing, developing, testing, and deploying complex software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks
Supporting DevSecOps pipelines and automated CI/CD deployments.
Directing research into fundamental computer science problems and leads the design of innovative solutions.
Mentoring junior researchers and serving as a technical expert on advanced software concepts.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related scientific field
9+ years of experience in software development, including object-oriented programming, software architecture, and agile methodologies
Proficiency with one or more languages such as Java, C++, Python, or C#
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with software lifecycle processes, version control (e.g., Git), and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
