R&D Manager - Strategic Innovation

 

 

Your Mission 

 

Drive the strategic innovation of Sunset Glaze by leading its development pipeline, line extensions, and renovations. Contribute to product, process, and service optimization to support both short- and long-term business growth, aligned with Puratos’ focus on health, sustainability, and customer value.

 

Key Accountabilities 

Innovation Management

• Lead the creation and launch of new Sunset Glaze solutions
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, ingredients, and trends
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Upstream Innovation (GRS) to manage the Stage & Gate process
• Support the development and drive the implementation of Sunset Glaze innovations (and renovations) in the markets globally
• Be at the leading edge of technology and market novelties
• Build external partnerships to accelerate innovation
• Provide technical support and training to customers

Competence Building

• Develop expertise in ingredient functionality and UHT technology
• In collaboration with R&D colleagues, organize and supervise training of both newcomers and advanced R&D managers on innovation, ingredients, formulations, IP protection, process and applications
• Organize training for R&D teams and market champions
• Ensure knowledge sharing across teams and geographies
• Ensure in-depth training and knowledge building of the Sunset Glaze Champions on ingredients functionality and applications, and ensure global market and customer support

Quality & Operations

• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality teams
• Ensure technical accuracy and confidentiality
• Contribute to risk assessments and crisis management

 

 

 

 

 

Who are we looking for? 

 

• You have a Master’s degree in Bioscience Engineering or Food Technology
• You have a minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• You are fluent in English
• You have strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills
• You are willing to travel internationally
• You are passionate about food and driven by innovation and continuous improvement
• You are pragmatic, result oriented and not afraid to think outside of the box.
