POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Residence Life and Accommodation Manager, greets students and visiting clientele. Provides information concerning residence activities and offers administrative support. Answers the telephone, processes mail, and photocopies, assembles, and files documents. Front line position for the Campus Housing Office.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

·Greets residence students and visiting clientele. Provides information concerning residence activities and offers administrative support. 

·Answers phone, emails and student/guest inquiries.

·Coordinates residence keys during move-in/collection upon move-out

·Handles residence lockouts during office hours

·Enters facilities work order in system and follows up on their completion

·Assigns and removed access to residence through Lenel system; ensures it’s up to date

·Excellent customer service capability; willingness to help

·Proven ability to multi-task and clearly transmit and receive information (both verbally and in writing)

·Able to work as part of a team but capable to work autonomously as well

·In cases of emergency, able to take appropriate measures for safe and efficient building evacuation.

·Diverse clerical duties and any other related tasks.

·Knowledge of OneDrive, Excel, Word

·Knowledge of French and English. McGill University is an English-language university where day-to-day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.

 

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Ability to work part of a team. Able to multitask. Excellent customer service.

 

Additional Information:

Contract Position: October 20, 2024-May 17, 2025.

Work week 25 hours, subject to change according to needs.

Salary:  $23.31/hours.

Minimum Education and Experience:

High School Diploma Minimal or No Related Experience

Hourly Salary:
