Sheetfed Material Handler (Night Shift)

Position Summary:

The Sheetfed Material Handler will assist with the sheetfed press to facilitate non-stop operation. 

Schedule: 6pm-6am on a rotating schedule.

 

Essential Functions:

• Organize production and supporting materials such as paper, ink and plates.
• Assist with daily, weekly and monthly press maintenance.
• Lifting and stacking pallets, cardboard and printed materials.
• Operate hand-jacks, forklifts or other similar equipment to move materials from shipping, receiving and staging areas to and from the press
• Assist in plate/blanket replacement
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following all procedures, rules, and regulations
• Other assigned duties as required by management                                                                                 

 

Qualifications:

• Ability to operate hand jacks and forklifts.
• Ability to follow and carry out instruction with excellent attention to detail
• Positive and professional interpersonal skills required
• Effective oral and written communication

Education 

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in shipping/and or supply chain systems within a warehouse environment preferred

Other Requirements:

• Must have the ability to read, write and effectively communicate with crew members and other employees in the manufacturing/warehouse areas.

Work Environment

While performing Essential Duties and Responsibilities of this job, the employee will be required to work near moving or mechanical equipment.
