Administrative & Operations Coordinator

Integral to organizing the operations of a GLP level research laboratory focused on the development and application of novel, broad-scope therapeutics for translational application against childhood cancers. Coordinates and executes supply and capital equipment purchasing, price negotiating, control and legend drug purchasing, radioactive material purchasing and receiving, assessing needs and scheduling equipment maintenance and repair, maintaining lab compliance with WA Department of Health, complying with GLP recommendations, and representing lab with vendors and in department meetings. Responsible for compiling, organizing, and revising SOPs and other operational documents. Develop key systems for process improvement, streamlining operations, communicating operational developments, organizing laboratory supply centers and inventory management, managing grant and gift funds, and annual budget projecting with manager.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent experience. Minimum of two (2) years college coursework in Business, Healthcare, Human Services or related field. Minimum of four (4) years progressively responsible experience supporting professional staff in healthcare or social science field, performing a combination of the following: drafting, editing and developing communications and/or reports, project management/coordination in a team environment, data analysis and data entry.

Preferred
Minimum three (3) years experience in a research or clinical laboratory setting. Advance proficiency using MS Excel and related data storage and analysis systems. Experience with annual budget projections and handling grant, gift, and seed funds. Experience managing inventory and negotiating supply and capital equipment pricing. Experience purchasing and receiving research related animal diets, controlled drugs, legend drugs, and radioactive material. Experience with QA/QC. Good Clinical Practices (GCP) certification. Hazardous Materials Shipping Certification through the UW Dept. of Environmental Health & Safety or through the Washington State Department of Health Laboratories.
Compensation Range
$31.28 - $46.93 per hourSalary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
