As our next Lab Technician, you’ll be at the forefront of providing test lab services to the global organization using both standard and specialized lab equipment to support the development and product life cycle of electromechanical products through the collection, analysis, and reporting of data. Your expertise in lab work and data analysis will be crucial in driving our success and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Following Safety, 5S, IATF16949, Environmental, and Corporate policies and practices.
  • Assembling, disassembling, operating, and maintaining complex electromechanical fixtures and computer-based control systems which include data acquisition hardware and custom software.
  • Supporting continuous improvement by implementing digitalization and other advancements in technology.
  • Utilizing both standard and specialized lab equipment to create mechanical, electrical, and environmental conditions (test setups) that simulate a product's application, usage environment, and life requirements.
  • Taking requirements (inputs) from lab requests, specifications, and product applications; executing procedures, processes, and tasks to produce data (outputs).
  • Collecting, formatting, summarizing, and analyzing data. Creating data summaries, presentations, and test reports using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other technical documents as needed.
  • Planning, scheduling, tracking, and performing tasks in a product test laboratory environment.
  • Actively participating in laboratory operations and management system by learning, following, and complying with all processes and procedures.
  • Performing root cause analysis of product failures during testing and returns from the field.
  • Recommending test methods based upon experience and product's application.
  • Recommending improvements to all processes within the scope of responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a product testing environment.
  • Experience using data acquisition software and hardware.
  • Strong electro-mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to set up and operate off-the-shelf equipment such as multimeter, oscilloscope, DC power supplies, and environmental chambers.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint applications. OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and MS365 experience beneficial.
  • Adaptive critical thinking and ability to confront complex technical problems and deconstruct them into basic principles for fast and efficient solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
