Position Summary
The Associate Director/Director, Global AI & Advanced Analytics will establish BioNTech’s AI and advanced analytics capabilities in the commercial area for its several upcoming global launches in Oncology. This person will be part of the best-in-class high-performing team with great visibility to the senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Develop generative AI strategy, roadmap and governance for commercial function
- Implement innovative generative AI solutions for commercial use cases
- Act as Subject Matter Expert in the latest technical developments in generative AI e.g. in RAG, fine-tuning, agentic architecture
- Act as Subject Matter Expert in the regulatory landscape for generative AI
- Develop advanced (predictive, prescriptive) analytics strategy for commercial function
- Perform predictive and prescriptive analytics on marketing, sales, market access and RWE datasets
- Perform “business rollout” of AI solutions to drive large user adoption, satisfaction and impact, and monitor KPIs to ensure operational and business success in steady state
- Build and maintain a library of generative AI and advanced analytics use cases
- Work closely with Global Commercial, Global Market Access, IT, as well as US, Germany and other affiliates to understand business needs and develop solutions
- Communicate business impact effectively to senior leadership
Requirements:
- 6+ years of data analytics experience
- 3+ years of pharma commercial data analytics experience
- Deep experience in machine learning models such as random forest, deep learning required
- Python programming experience required
- Experience in generative AI (e.g. RAG, fine-tuning) preferred
- Masters or PhD in data science-related field preferred
- Experience with Oncology commercial datasets, launches, next-best action, RWE preferred
- Experience working closely with commercial teams
