Job Description

The Catering Sales Coordinator is responsible for supporting the process of booking and managing events for the catering department.

 

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate for this position ranges from $25.00 to $25.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for filing required catering event documentation (BEO’s, schedule, consumption reports, labor sheets and rentals)

    • Communicates with GU clients, external specific event planner and customers.

    • Operates office equipment like laptops, copy machines etc.

    • Consults with higher level authority for resolution of difficult issues.

    • Submits and processes invoices associate with assigned catering event

    • Sets up meetings, including preparation, and taking of meeting minutes

    • Responsible for data entry and analytical work.

    • Provides clerical support • Seeks to improve efficiency of daily operations while directing daily activities

    • Maintains timely, accurate and detailed documentation required by management

    • Possess professional etiquette

    • Outstanding customer service and interact effectively with customers, employees, and the broader community.

    • Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production records. 

    • Maintains food production that ensures the safety and quality of food according to policies, procedures, and department requirements. 

    • Ensure that food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment. 

    • Maintain all food service serving schedules; ensure that all food items are served per menu specifications in a food-safe manner following all DOH and company regulations, and appropriate manner according to departmental policies and procedures. 

    • Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations. 

    • Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel; promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork. 

    • Support clients in booking events with the catering department, creation of BEOs, etc

Qualifications

  • • Previous customer service experience required

    • 1-3 years previous catering event supervisor/ banquet captain experience

    • Candidates should have a validated understanding of computers, Microsoft Office, printers, fax machines, telephones, and photocopiers

    • Understanding of catering styles of service, sequence of service and catering event execution

    • Shows initiative, follows established procedures

    • Excellent verbal and written communication & listening skills

    • Demonstrates self-development, and integrity

    • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing

    • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

    • Strong digital literacy skills required i.e. Microsoft office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

    • Strong problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills

    • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations

Minimum Education/Certification  - High School Diploma/GED 

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
