The Construction Cost Analyst plays a key role in providing support and assistance to the construction cost management team on the USA expansion program and other capital projects for the JD North American Group. This individual will effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following key duties
Be a key member of the Construction Cost Management team, working with a
can-do attitude with a positive outlook conducive of inter-departmental
synergy.
Generally, support the Construction Cost Management (CCM) Team.
Coordinate cost management activities, resources, equipment and
information.
Perform quantity take-offs and aid with the production of capex estimates.
Manage all aspects of PO and payment processes. Create and issue
purchase orders for approval and release by the CM Team using Lucernex
and Coupa software systems.
Vendor payment management – organizing payments, resolving issues,
communication with the supply chain.
Be the contact person between the Cost Management team and the Accounts
payable team.
Weekly reporting to vendors regarding payment status.
Process GC pay-apps.
Assist in the collation of bid package information.
Send enquiries to vendors, receive and analyze proposals to ensure the
the proposal reflects the requirements and that JD are receiving the best value.
Manage and issue various progress reports.
Collation and preparation of contract documentation.
Cost management of small projects including badge flips, decommissioning
work, temporary stores etc.
Complete general administration tasks as required.
Proven experience ideally as a Project Coordinator.
An administrative background, preferably with an understanding or interest in
Property related projects, construction, maintenance and compliance.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience of Coupa or other Procurement to Payment software
would be valued.
Ability to challenge resources and costs.
Fluent in English.
Proficient use of all Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and MS Project.
Excellent attention to detail often working to challenging deadlines.
First-class organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills with a
focus on task prioritization.
Qualifications:
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or Construction Cost
management qualification would be advantageous.
This role is office based but you will need to be geographically mobile
to support our store portfolio.
Self-motivated, but works well as part of a team.
Technically competent with knowledge of various software
programs.
Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through
analytical and problem solving capabilities.
Can react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and
efficiently.
Flexible during times of change.
Extensive travel and periods of time away from home as required.
Completely fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking). All
reporting will be done in English.
Based in Head Office Indianapolis USA
Full Driving License essential.
