Description
The Gary W. Rollins College of Business at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Logistics and Supply Chain Management beginning August 2027.
Responsibilities include teaching nine credit hours per semester, conducting research leading to quality-refereed journal publications and conference presentations, and providing service at the department, college, and/or university level. The Gary W. Rollins College of Business at UTC has long-standing AACSB accreditation at the undergraduate and graduate levels, serves approximately 2,400 students, and has a highly productive, collegial faculty.
This position will support the Department of Data Analytics and its newly established Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The successful candidate will contribute to the continued growth of the program through excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates who apply before September 15, 2026. Applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants must possess, or complete by August 2027, a doctoral degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited business school, as well as demonstrated potential for high-quality scholarly research.
Applicants should also have demonstrated teaching ability in undergraduate and/or graduate courses using a variety of instructional modalities, including online instruction.
Primary teaching responsibilities are expected to include undergraduate and graduate courses in logistics, supply chain management, transportation, operations management, procurement, inventory management, global supply chains, and related areas. Experience or interest in teaching courses involving data analytics, artificial intelligence, optimization, business intelligence, or related analytical methods applied to supply chain management is desirable.
