What you’ll need to succeed as a Senior Analyst, Audit and Compliance at XPO
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 2 years of relevant experience
- 2 years of experience working with federal requirements and/or regulatory matters; experience working closely with legal, compliance, and audit partners
- 2 years of experience with adjudicating background checks
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws relating to employment background checks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word)
- Experience in creating or updating work instructions
- Ability to reliably manage highly confidential information
- Ability to process information given in an effective and concise manner
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with employment eligibility verification
- Knowledge of GDPR and privacy laws
- Experience with drug screens; experience with applicant tracking system(s)
- Ability to work systematically and use own initiative
- Able to work with little supervision
- Ability to work collaboratively and be accountable to team goals

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Provide employment eligibility verification support from a compliance perspective to the business, including tracking and addressing compliance issues with I-9
- Facilitate individualized assessments for background checks, which includes reviewing background check results and candidate responses to determine if the applicant meets XPO’s requirements to be hired
- Respond to inquiries about XPO background check practices and processes
- Monitor and track background check statuses, including identifying and analyzing trends
- Run reports relating to XPO background check practices and processes
- Audit XPO’s staffing agencies’ background check process to ensure our agencies follow XPO requirements
- Develop and/or train I-9 administrators as needed
- Conduct regular I-9 completion audits
- Support compliance with U.S. regulations on mandatory job listings
- Research changes in employment and privacy regulations related to HR policies to analyze impacts to the organization
