Job Duties

Oversee all the investigative staff and ensure that cases continue moving toward successful resolution. Review MFCU policies/procedures to ensure compliance with Federal oversight requirements. Maintains cooperative relationships with DMAS (Medicaid Program), federal, and state law enforcement agencies. Give presentations about the Unit and Medicaid Fraud to various state agencies, law enforcement agencies, health care fraud conferences, and associations throughout the Commonwealth. Ensure the Unit’s grant reporting statistics are accurate and reported in a timely fashion. Serve as Acting Director, when the Director is away from the Office. Some overnight travel required. This position will work out of the Richmond, Virginia office.

Minimum Qualifications

Prior investigative management experience is required.
Extensive experience in investigations involving health care fraud, financial crimes nontypical organized crime, undercover, and covert operations.
Extensive experience in managing a large group of investigators, auditors, and data analysts. Experience in working with multiple state and federal law enforcement agencies.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Candidates should have demonstrated computer proficiency with word processing and database management systems (Microsoft products preferred).
Criminal background check will be completed on successful candidate.

Additional Considerations

Applicants must have a related undergraduate degree or commensurate experience.
