Who We Are
Golden Queen Mining Co., LLC (the “Company”) operates a gold and silver, open pit, heap leach operation on its Soledad Mountain property, located just outside the town of Mojave in Kern County in southern California. The Project uses conventional open pit mining methods and the cyanide heap leach and Merrill-Crowe processes to recover gold and silver from crushed, agglomerated ore.

Who You Are
You bring a minimum of five years of experience in heavy mining equipment maintenance. You've cultivated strong oral and written communication skills, along with solid interpersonal and problem-solving abilities. Your collaboration with peer groups and focus teams has sharpened your ability to deliver results and meet tight deadlines. You have excellent leadership skills, a proven ability to influence others, and a commitment to promoting safety in training by leading by example. You're proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and possess a keen attention to detail, enabling you to work independently while maintaining a strong safety record.
This is a safety sensitive position. As the Mobile Maintenance Training Coordinator you report to Site Training General Foreman.
What You Do
- Work with the Site Training General Foreman to develop and manage safety and departmental training programs.
- Partner with the mobile maintenance department to assess training needs.
- Develop teaching outlines and choose instructional methods, including new hire orientation, individual training, group sessions, lectures, demonstrations, meetings, and workshops.
- Ensure employees are operating safely and correctly by monitoring their performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of shop and field work areas to reinforce safe work practices.
- Collaborate with the safety department as necessary.
- Consistently apply and implement company procedures and policies.
- Create, maintain, and audit training records to ensure they comply with MSHA and CAL OSHA regulations.
- Lead needs assessments in collaboration with the maintenance department, assist in interpreting results, and help implement necessary changes.
- Provide guidance and support in identifying and addressing training deficiencies.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of all mechanical systems and develop training courses for technicians.
- Develop teaching outlines and select instructional methods, including individual and group training, lectures, demonstrations, meetings, and workshops.
- Show a strong commitment to safety and health practices.
- Design or select testing and evaluation procedures to be used before and after training.
- Assess trainees' progress and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
