Legal Assistant – Law Firm
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join a busy Personal Injury Law Firm. As a
Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting legal professionals with
administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth running of files.
Key Responsibilities:
â Providing administrative support to lawyers and legal executives, including managing
schedules, organising meetings, and handling correspondence
â Assisting with the preparation of legal documents, including drafting letters and court
documents
â Communicating with clients over the phone, to assist with enquiries and provide
updates on case progress
â Management of email inboxes
â Managing filing systems and maintaining accurate records of client information and
case files
â Assisting with billing processes and ensuring accurate financial records are
maintained
Job Qualifications:
â Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, preferably in a law firm in the role
of Legal Assistant, or professional office setting
â Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (hard requirement)
â Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
â Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
â Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
â High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
â Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
â Experience with Monday.com (nice to have) but not a must have
â Knowledgeable with Practice evolve - legal database (not a hard requirement)
â Advantage if they have worked in a AU law firms (hard requirement)
Preferred Qualifications:
â Experience with legal terminology and legal documentation
â Familiarity with case management software
â Background in a similar role within the legal industry
â More than a year of experience
