Job Summary

Job Description

Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks requiring knowledge of building maintenance activities and systems.  Performs a variety of carpentry and simple plumbing tasks, and maintains interior paint surfaces; Troubleshoots equipment and/or facilities problems and escalates them as needed.  Will perform other duties of a similar nature and complexity, as well as custodial tasks, as directed.  Assists with waste management and recycling programs, under direction of the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager.  Participates in periodic on-call coverage as needed, to maintain reliable facilities services (in accordance with applicable Vicor policy for such coverage).  Must be passionate about and display good customer service skills.  Must perform work in a safe manner and understand the importance of safety in a factory setting.  Must be able to work without direct supervision after completion of training.

Education / Qualifications

•    High school/vocational school diploma. 
•    Basic computer knowledge, email, MS Office, internal databases, etc.
•    3-5 years' directly related facilities experience.
•    General working knowledge of plant facilities equipment and systems: HVAC, air compressors, vacuum pumps, chilled water systems, energy management systems and alarm systems, is a plus.
•    Experience with lockout-tagout procedures is a plus
•    Experience directly supporting internal customers.
•    Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
•    Must be able to use ladders as needed
