This position functions as a records supervisor of the ARDC Specialists. It provides oversite of Specialists responsible for entering, reviewing, and processing inmate court information within the offender case management system. The role plays a critical part in ensuring the staff is consistently trained on accuracy and integrity of inmate data, particularly in relation to intake, sentencing, and release documentation. This work directly supports the department’s mission of upholding justice, public safety, and legal compliance.

Examples of duties
One year of the required experience in the following minimum qualifications must have been in offender records analysis, offender classification, or offender pre-classification:Six years of experience in offender records analysis, offender classification, offender pre-classification, security, or social services or as a probation or parole officer; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of experience in social services, offender classification, offender records analysis, security, or as a probation or parole officer; OR
A bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in social services, offender classification, offender records analysis, security, or as a probation or parole officer; OR
An advanced degree in a social science or social work or a juris doctorate plus two years of experience in social services, offender classification, offender records analysis, security, or as a probation or parole officer.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:
Supervise and evaluate a staff of approximately 5 to 10 ARDC Specialists to provide oversite and guidance and ensure operational accuracy and efficiency.
Sentence Review and Release Verification: Analyze sentencing records and time computations to confirm that release dates are lawful and calculated in accordance with state statutes and agency policy.
Has knowledge and expertise in time computation in order to provide answers to complex questions as well as training and guidance to those under their supervision.
