Your role:

Conduct biological, chemical and physical analyses on pharmaceutical products (biologics and drugs) and medical devices through all stages of the manufacturing process from incoming raw materials to finished goods, and environmental monitoring programs Conduct critical biological, physical analyses on raw materials, initial, in-process and final products, and samples collected from environmental monitoring programs at Baxter manufacturing facilities

What you'll be doing:

  • Conduct environmental monitoring testing of all cleanrooms that will require personnel to be standing for majority of the day.

Use sophisticated laboratory instrumentation and computer systems to collect and record data.

  • Perform advanced assays requiring precise analytical skills and understanding of microbiology principles.
  • Complete all testing, including special project / protocol testing in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company SOPs and specifications, FDA, GLP, QSR and cGMP regulations.
  • Participate in functions involving teams, which impact production, increase efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings and improve quality.
  • Perform laboratory and manufacturing audits as required. Audit and update, as required, plant SOPs.
  • Perform sample collection and processing during off-shifts and potentially weekends.
  • Adhere to the appropriate PPE requirements for the task being performed.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelors Degree in microbiology or Biological Science with Biology/Microbiology Laboratory setting coursework and 6 months or more experience

Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, and in a timely fashion.

  • Computer literate.
  • Must be detail oriented, conscientious and have high reading comprehension skills.
  • Must have basic understanding of laboratory instrumentation.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers and have a positive attitude.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 15 pounds and sustain prolonged standing with periodic lifting, walking, standing, bending, stooping and stretching. Knowledge of any of the following is a plus:
  • Environmental Monitoring of Cleanroom - Membrane filtration - QC Microbiology - Serial Dilution - Gram Staining - Sub culturing - Bacterial Endotoxin - Final Product Sterility Testing

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
