If so, this is the chance to <strong>apply now</strong>! 📥</p><p><strong>PeopleCert</strong> is looking for a <strong>Localisation Lead</strong> who will be responsible for managing the translation of all Business and IT products at PeopleCert. Each product's assets include the Official Book, Exams, and Official Training Materials. This role involves managing a team of Localisation Associates/Assistants, overseeing the entire lifecycle of translation projects and ensuring all deliverables adhere to PeopleCert’s high-quality standards. You will monitor tasks such as translating, editing, proofreading, sourcing, onboarding, and coordinating external translators (both individual freelancers and Language Service Providers) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Additionally, you will be responsible for streamlining processes to enhance productivity and ensure translation accuracy and consistency across all product lines. </p><p>In this role, you will be fully accountable and work closely with the Enterprise Project Manager, Head of Localisation, and other internal teams to ensure smooth project execution. You will also act as the key point of communication for feedback, proactively addressing and escalating issues when necessary, while maintaining close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.<br/> <br/></p><p><strong>As a Localisation Lead, your tasks will include the following:</strong></p><p></p><ul> <li> <strong>Team Management: </strong>Manage a team of internal and external stakeholders, overseeing A to Z the localisation process. </li> <li> <strong>Project Setup and Management</strong>: Oversee translation projects within XTM TMS (Translation Management System), ensuring that deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met while working closely with the Enterprise Project Manager and the Head of Localisation.</li> <li> <strong>AI Integration</strong>: Identify and implement AI tools (e.g., machine translation, language models) to improve workflow efficiency, reduce manual tasks, and maintain high-quality outputs.</li> <li> <strong>Content Coordination</strong>: Oversee translation efforts for a variety of content types from English into various languages, ensuring consistency and quality across all products, while working closely with content teams.</li> <li> <strong>Translation Memory Management</strong>: Oversee file alignments, update and maintain translation memories, and prepare files for translation to ensure efficient use of resources and content reusability.</li> <li> <strong>Supplier Management</strong>: Oversee external translators, Language Service Providers, and SMEs, building strong working relationships to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. Provide clear and concise briefings to ensure suppliers understand project scope, deliverables, and expectations.</li> <li> <strong>Quality Assurance</strong>: Conduct rigorous quality checks on translated materials to ensure accuracy, cultural relevance, and technical precision, while working closely with the Head of Localisation to uphold PeopleCert’s quality standards.</li> <li> <strong>Feedback and Issue Resolution</strong>: Act as the central point of communication for feedback, proactively addressing issues and escalating them to the Enterprise Project Manager and Head of Localisation when needed.</li> <li> <strong>Reporting</strong>: Provide projects’ tracking, KPIs and key updates, ensuring risk minimization and continual improvement. <br/> </li> </ul><p><strong><br/>What we look for:</strong></p><p></p><ul> <li>10+ years’ experience in Localisation, with significant experience with managing projects, programs and portfolios. </li> <li>Experience leading a localisation function within an organisation, through a LSP or a translation company. </li> <li>Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing a team of 10+ people.</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of localisation tools, software and best practices, including XTM or similar platforms, with a strong interest in developing technologies (e.g., NMT, AI-powered localisation).</li> <li>Strategic, highly organized, customer-oriented and able to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously.</li> <li>Knowledge of best practice frameworks and methods (PRINCE2, ITIL, etc.)</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English is required (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be also a plus)</li> <li>Advanced computer literacy is required.
