The Opportunity

As the Craft HR Leader, you will have the opportunity to:

 

  • Be responsible for managing all domestic staffing, international assignment, relocation and immigration programs
  • Support organization’s business objectives through strategic human resources (HR) acquisition and retention program development and implementation
  • Passionately promote “employer of choice” image within the marketplace, while creating this reality within the company
  • Utilize and create tools and processes to create a consistent flow of qualified candidates throughout the organization
  • Work in a collaborative fashion with all levels of management and other HR Directors

 

This role will be designated in our business traveler work schedule. We are committed to providing a healthy, safe and flexible work environment for all professionals while helping them remain productive and connected. Our business traveler work schedule includes BV professionals who travel consistently 60% or more of their work schedule and provide flexibility around being in an office location.  

 

  • Days during travel weeks that are non-travel days, professionals may work in the office or at a remote location
  • On non-travel work weeks, professionals may work in a BV office location 3 days a week and in a remote location 2 days a week
     

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of professionals who work with and on construction job sites to meet HR needs
  • Provides recruiting strategy and operational planning to grow and recruit for the BV Craft workforce
  • Manages day to day HR direction for onsite field HR teams on various BV project sites 
  • Collaborates with compensation on setting wage rates and ranges for craft professionals
  • Develops process and procedures that support streamlined recruitment and onboarding processes of craft workers
  • Participates in reduction in force and management termination activities
  • Informs or advises Division HR Director regarding staffing or termination activities and issues
  • Conducts exit interviews
  • Serves on various project teams or committees, as assigned
  • May provide employee relations support to managers, department heads and employees as needed
  • Identifies and assesses improvement opportunities which will add value. Champions continuous improvement efforts. Assesses and supports the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements. Proactively supports, encourages, and facilitates staff to engage in continuous improvement activities.
  • Assists with planning and forecasting for all construction project needs
  • Must be able to travel a minimum of 60% of the time
  • Experience with HR compliance and knowledge of outreach and sourcing
  • May conduct Training Classes
  • Assist with construction project setup and planning
