Head of Projects - Service Operations

This is your opportunity to make a lasting impact!</span></p><h3><strong><span>About the role</span></strong></h3><p><span>As Head of Projects you will lead the Project Management Office for the Service Operations team and oversee the successful delivery of Fastned’s service operations projects across Europe. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strategic project roadmap for the Service Operations team, ensuring projects are prioritized based on business impact and available resources. This role reports directly to the Director of Service Operations.</span></p><h3><strong><span>What you will be doing</span></strong></h3><ul><li><p><span>Lead, develop, and manage the Project Management Office (PMO), setting standards, methodologies, and best practices for project delivery.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop and maintain a comprehensive project roadmap for the Service Operations team, aligning with Fastned’s strategic objectives.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Facilitate project prioritization based on impact, resource availability, and business needs, ensuring the highest-value projects are delivered first.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all infrastructure and service operations projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Build and lead a high-performing team of project managers.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop and maintain project governance frameworks, tools, and reporting systems while ensuring that daily operations and performance comes always first.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues to ensure successful outcomes.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, finance, legal, retail, CoE, etc) to ensure project alignment and resource allocation.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and outcomes.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Report project status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and stakeholders.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource planning.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and excellence in project management.</span></p></li><li><p><span>You will also be expected to be hands-on in some projects when needed.</span></p></li></ul> <h3>Requirements</h3> <h3><strong><span>Who we’re looking for</span></strong></h3><ul><li><p><span>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.</span></p></li><li><p><span>8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership and PMO role.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-site infrastructure or service operations projects (experience in EV charging, energy, or utilities is a plus).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, Agile).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Demonstrated experience in project prioritization and resource management.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus.</span></p></li></ul><p><strong><span>Personal Attributes:</span></strong></p><ul><li><p><span>Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Results-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Collaborative leader who inspires and motivates teams.</span></p></li><li><p><span>High integrity, with a commitment to sustainability and Fastned’s mission.</span></p></li></ul><h3><strong><span>Why join Fastned?</span></strong></h3><p><span>We work hard to change the world, but also celebrate our successes, big and small.
