About the role

Responsible for centralized operations for Ventures and the current and future acquired practices. The position will have broad responsibility for creating, conducting, researching, maintaining, and overseeing processes, and systems related to Venture’s central operations. Responsible for ensuring business execution is in line with Venture’s business objectives with our internal and external business partners in mind.

Handle operating issues experienced at Ventures-owned practices which range across all aspects of running a business and running an optometric practice

Participate in defining, planning, implementing, and optimizing central operational processes, systems, and procedures, working in collaboration with internal and external business partners to create the best practice operations in the industry.

Assist in the implementation, updating, administration, and monitoring of the centralized practice management software used at all Ventures practices – additionally, assist in supporting the practices’ prior software until conversion

Drive care-focused efficiencies, best practices, and highest quality eye care across Ventures practices in partnership with other internal and external business partners

Work closely with business partners to create process innovation in all areas of supply chain planning & operations while building efficiencies and scale across the business

Responsible for driving the continual improvement of supply chain, centralized software and hardware, vendor management, and PMS software

Establish clear, concise market differentiation from competitors through efficiencies, service, patient focus, and overall expertise

Ensure effective communications are maintained within the unit and externally conducting and attending meetings as needed to share new information and changes

Participate in monitoring performance of direct reports. Provide prompt and objective feedback to coworkers and management as needed

Participate in the hiring and interviewing process for open positions within the unit ensuring that the most qualified candidates are selected


Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

4+ years of experience in business operations or health care management environment

Strong business acumen including experience working with KPI’s and other performance metrics

Experience in the optometric industry with a strong understanding of optical office flow, optical software, planning, and supply chain management

Experience working with external vendors, employees, and business practices at multiple locations

Demonstrated ability to develop plans to accommodate growth

Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve work processes

Highly organized and able to adapt to quickly changing priorities

Must be self-motivated and driven toward achievement of long-term goals

Must be able to develop, work against, and meet tight and aggressive deadlines and goals

Ability to travel 20% of the time

Working Conditions

The working environment is generally favorable, lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Salary Ranges: $60,000.00 - $103,500.00
