Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a First Line Manufacturing Manager to support the Space Launch Systems (SLS) team in New Orleans, LA!  

The First Line Manufacturing Manager will manage employees and perform activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines. The First Line Manufacturing manager would develop and execute integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines

• Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
• Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
• Manages, develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years of experience in Aerospace and Manufacturing
• 3+ years of experience in a formal management role leading cross functional teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change
• Experience with Lean processes and initiatives
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience preparing and presenting senior and/or executive level communications and briefings
• Ability to coach and lead others on standard work processes and procedures
• Experience in leading root-cause analysis or Boeing Problem Solving Model Experience
• Experience with managing QSCDM in a dynamic production system
• Experience interacting with DCMA and Program Management Offices
• Experience in implementing and working with OneBPS

Summary pay range: $96,900 – $131,100
