Job Summary: 

The Director of Corporate Human Resources supports Company goals and objectives by driving profitable growth, employee engagement, and brand value while fostering a performance‑based, inclusive culture. This role is responsible for key corporate human resources functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management and calibration, succession planning, and support of the Company’s HRIS (Workday).

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Source and recruit candidates for open corporate positions.
  • Oversee onboarding, orientation, and periodic check‑ins for new corporate employees.
  • Design, implement, and maintain programs and practices that support a performance‑based culture while promoting a diverse, inclusive, and harassment‑free work environment.
  • Manage corporate employee relations matters.
  • Implement and support performance management processes, including working with managers to address performance issues and effectively utilize available tools, such as performance improvement plans.
  • Assist with the performance appraisal and calibration process.
  • Manage succession planning activities aligned with the Company’s business objectives.
  • Identify and implement programs and initiatives to develop employee competencies and job‑related skills.
  • Provide support and assistance with Workday, as needed.
  • Lead the development and execution of enterprise‑wide culture initiatives that reinforce Company values, support employee engagement, and align with business and talent strategies.
  • Work with Marketing to support Church’s Community Partnership by engaging with local communities through charitable, cultural, and outreach initiatives.
  • Serve on Church’s Partners Foundation.
  • Remain current on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to help ensure Company policies, practices, and programs remain legally compliant.

Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience): 

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a Human Resources related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Workday and HR policy development and administration.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and efficient.
  • Experience with strategic planning and execution, organizational development principles and practices, and policy formulation. 
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour, employee classification, family and medical leave, and anti-discrimination and harassment.
