Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Based in our Sidney, OH/ St. Louis, MO location, you will provide key reporting and analysis to the leadership team.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting both short and long-term financial planning. You will interact across multiple functions within the HVACR Americas business to compile and analyze inputs for key Copeland's reporting requirements, such as Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP), Quarterly and Monthly results.  

 

AS A MANAGER, FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS, YOU WILL:

• Provide analysis and assist with the development of Annual Operating Plan, Long Range Plan, Quarterly and Monthly results.
• Collaborate with HR on Headcount reporting and the impact on AOP, LRP, etc. for headcount and SG&A expense, 
• Research the drivers behind fluctuations in Gross and Operating profit margins, vs. Prior Year, AOP and Prior Qtr. forecast.
• Work with the Refrigeration Line of Business team to provide margin expansion/value creation on products, market influences, pricing and cost reductions. 
• Evaluate the HVACR Americas Strategy to consolidate and provide feedback on the overall margin expansion/value creation on products, market influences, pricing and cost reductions. 
• Explore New Technologies/Workday/Sigma to improve accuracy, timeliness and automate financial processes to meet the business needs.
• Participate in department and/or cross-functional projects and provide other ad-hoc analysis as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field plus three (5) years of relevant experience
• The candidate should possess knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of data downloads, complex formulas, and pivot tables
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and balance multiple priorities
• Strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work independently
• Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

• Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management software 
• Prior experience with Oracle applications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Power Point) including advanced functions 
• CPA and/or CMA certification(s) 
• Knowledge of HVACR Industry

Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
